2 February 2009

Nutritional status of a group of people or individual can be assessed by mainly 3 methods:

  1. Weighing of raw food – All the food that is going to be cooked is weighed. This is more widely pracitsed.
  2. Weighing of cooked food – Cooked food in weighed before eating. This is less acceptable by people
  3. Oral questionnaire method – The person is asked to list the food items taken during the last 24 or 48 hours. This can provide good results if done properly.
