Skin lesions are classified into 3 major types. They are:

  1. Primary lesions
  2. Secondary lesions
  3. Special lesions

The primary skin lesions are:

  1. Macule
  2. Patch
  3. Papule
  4. Plaque
  5. Nodule
  6. Vesicle
  7. Bullae
  8. Pustule
  9. Wheal
  10. Cyst

The secondary skin lesion are:

  1. Scale
  2. Crust
  3. Excoriation
  4. Erosion
  5. Ulcer
  6. Fissure
  7. Lichenification
  8. Induration
  9. Sclerosis
  10. Atrophy

The special skin lesions are:

  1. Burrow
  2. Comedone
  3. Telangectasia
  4. Poikiloderma
  5. Milium
  6. Target lesions
  7. Alopecia
